Happy New Year everyone!!!
Yes, we made it to the end of another one. 2021 has come and gone, and it’s crazy when you think about it because this one had a lot riding on it.
We all couldn’t wait to get past the craziness of last year with a fresh start. We counted down the days in anticipation of that ball drop, the lights to brighten and illuminate those four numbers, with the hope that a new beginning was going to change the world we were forced to face since March 2020. We had hope, which was nice for a change.
That was until it started, and six days in we had an insurrection, two weeks out, Covid mutates like a Ninja Turtle, and one day left to go we lose the GOAT Betty White, but who the hell am I to be Captain Buzzkill?!
Yeah, 2021 started and ended, a bit bumpy, but it also had a lot of good. The main thing is, I started this blog!!!
Alright, that last one was just for me, but for better or worse, 2021 was a pretty interesting year.
We lost Betty, Norm, and Sondheim, The Orange asswipe left the White House, Spider-Man: No Way Home more than lived up to the hype, Kim and Kanye called it quits, Shatner went to Space (the final frontier), Ted Cruz went to war with Sesame Street, Facebook changed its name to Meta (because of course that’s what needed fixing with Facebook), Meghan and Harry left The Royal Family, Britney was finally “LEFT ALONE,” Andrew Cuomo took that whole, “Italian kissing on the cheek greeting thing”, one step too far, Charlie the Unicorn & the guys… (or girls) had one final video, and of course, Dr. Seuss got woke.
As for me. I did alright. Got a good job, met a friend's new baby, and met some distant cousins. All in all, not too bad. Actually looking forward to 2022.
If I could leave you all with anything, it would be, Happy New Year! I hope you had one that was full of more better times, than not, and I wish you all the same for the next.
I also want to thank you, my readers. Whether you’ve kept up with me for each post, or just occasionally skimmed through reads, or even if you just read one and hated it. The point is you took the time to hear what I had to say, and it’s greatly appreciated.
See you in 2022, my friends, looking forward to regrouping in the New Year!!!
I love this!!!
